List property by the way it is used.
Identify tools, stock, equipment, and goods belonging to the business or another person. Separate property kept at the main premises from items stored elsewhere or carried in a vehicle. A useful list describes the arrangement, not only a total dollar amount.
Ask where the proposed coverage applies.
Do not assume that a premises description covers every location or that a vehicle policy protects everything carried inside it. Ask Todd to explain the applicable terms, limits, deductibles, and exclusions. Some exposures may need a separate arrangement whose availability must be confirmed.
Review the list when work changes.
New job sites, additional storage, leased equipment, and different inventory levels are reasons to ask for a review. Keep detailed asset schedules and finance records out of the public form.
- Owned, leased, rented, and borrowed items.
- Normal premises, storage sites, and travel arrangements.
- Responsibility for customers’ or other parties’ property.
- Questions about valuation and confirmation of changes.
Questions before you start.
Are tools covered just because they are inside an insured truck?
Do not assume vehicle coverage addresses the tools. Describe the equipment and how it is transported, then ask Todd which coverage, if any, would apply.
Useful resources.
Independent resources provide additional context; they do not imply a government endorsement of Luedtke Insurance.
General information only. Coverage, eligibility, limits, exclusions, and availability depend on the insurer and actual policy. This page does not bind, change, or cancel insurance. Confirm your specific needs with Todd and your insurer.
